This award is open to companies within the Pharma Industry that use advanced manufacturing as a critical driver to deliver pharma & healthcare products. Finalists will be required to demonstrate how they have utilized digital transformation, supply resilience, cost efficiency, people and talent to deliver a high level of excellence in product delivery. Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.
- Digital Transformation & Smart Integration: How have you applied technologies such as AI, robotics, IoT, automation, cobotics, or real-time data analytics to modernise and optimise your manufacturing operations? Please highlight how robotic systems are enhancing precision, safety, productivity, or operational efficiency.
- Supply Chain Resilience: How have you increased supply reliability for key markets, reduced single-source dependencies, or enabled fast scale-up during demand surges? Please include any role robotics or automated systems have played in improving supply continuity, warehousing, or logistics.
- Innovation: Please include details of any unique efforts or advanced technologies that have been employed, demonstrating the degree of innovation and commercial or strategic potential. Have you deployed robotics in areas such as aseptic processing, inspection, packaging, continuous manufacturing, modular design, or intelligent quality systems? Have you employed principles of Pharma 5.0 at your site as part of your overall strategy?
- Regulatory & Quality Excellence: How have you maintained or improved compliance with global regulatory standards through your robotics-enabled or advanced manufacturing practices?
- Cost Efficiency & Scalability: Detail how your approach has improved cost-efficiency through robotics, lean operations, flexible production lines, or capital efficiency, while enhancing output, precision, or adaptability.
- People, Talent & Workforce Evolution: How have you supported your workforce in adopting robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies? Please outline any initiatives in training, reskilling, or human–machine collaboration that have enabled successful implementation. Note: Please include supporting facts and statements to back up your entry.
