This award recognises outstanding achievement in the delivery of pharmaceutical education, training, and graduate development across the UK. It is open to professional institutions, technical training colleges, and organisations within the pharmaceutical industry that demonstrate excellence in developing talent, building critical skills, and contributing to the future workforce of the sector. The winner will be an organisation that has made a significant impact through high-quality education programmes or graduate training initiatives, demonstrating innovation, measurable outcomes, and strong alignment with industry needs. Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear information, supported by evidence, that demonstrates delivery against core objectives, with particular attention to the criteria below.
- Programme Background & Objectives: Outline the size and nature of your organisation and describe the development of the education or graduate training programme. Clearly define its objectives and how it aligns with the needs of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Programme Design & Delivery: Provide an overview of the curriculum or training structure, including course content, accreditation, affiliations, and participant numbers. For graduate programmes, include how the programme has been implemented over the past 12 months, with specific examples and any challenges encountered.
- Excellence in Education & Training: Demonstrate how your organisation goes beyond standard curricular or training requirements to deliver exceptional learning experiences. Include examples such as innovative teaching methods, mentoring, practical training hours, or tailored development pathways.
- Industry Relevance & Exposure: Show how participants are prepared for careers in the pharmaceutical sector. This may include industry engagement such as guest speakers, site visits (national or international), real-world projects, placements, or collaboration with pharma companies.
- Impact & Outcomes: Provide evidence of the programme’s effectiveness, including the development of skills, employability, career progression, or improved performance of employees or graduates within the pharma industry.
- Benefits to Stakeholders: Demonstrate the value delivered to both the organisation and participants. This may include business benefits, return on investment, and positive feedback from students, graduates, employers, or industry partners.
- Measurement of Success & Continuous Improvement: Explain how the success of the programme is monitored and measured against objectives. Include key metrics, feedback mechanisms, and examples of how insights have been used to improve the programme.
- Thought Leadership & Dissemination: Provide details of contributions to the wider community, such as publications, workshops, conferences, student achievements, competitions, or awards that showcase excellence and knowledge-sharing.
